My Story
| I grew up in Hollywood, CA. The captain on Gilligan’s Island lived on the next block from me. I attended St. Ambrose Catholic School. I attended high school at Our Lady Queen of the Angeles High School in San Fernando, CA. I then attended for a year and a half of college at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, CA before transferring to Loyola Marymount University, CA. I graduated from LMU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1969. I then attended Long Beach State University and received a Master of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting in 1973. I started my work career with Haskins and Sells, CPAs, a big eight accounting and auditing firm. I then went to JK Lasser & Co, CPAs before joining Corso and Schultz, CPAs. After three years, I purchased Bruce Schultz’s portion of the business. I have operated the tax and accounting since 1979. I received my CPA certificate in 1976. In 1999, I launched my financial planning practice to complement my accounting practice. I have since completed the qualifications for: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, AICPA/Personal Financial Specialist, and Certified Wealth Strategist®.
The best part of my life is being married to Cheryl since 1975. We have one daughter, Brooke, and three boys, Chad, Blake and Brett. It is great to see them grow into wonderful adults. When I am not working, I love being with the family, fishing, hiking, reading and traveling. |
