Review Title: Dragon Express Chinese Restaurant, Dragon Express Chinese Restaurant
Reviewed By: Peter Almada
Ah yes, many in West Los Angeles are well
familiar with the plethora of Chinese Restaurants
crowding the congested landscape, and while I
am no connoisseur of such venues, I do give a
"thumbs-up" to Dragon Express Restaurant.
Located not too far from my place of employment,
with another situated right down the street from
my apartment building, Dragon Express has become
my regular restaurant of choice when I'm in the
mood for eastern cuisine.
The fare ranges from the familiar Chinese chicken
salad, to the more expensive shrimp dishes(there
seems to be more shrimp dishes here than what
the character Bubba mentions in the movie Forest
Gump!)
Chicken, Beef and Pork all have their own
special categories, however Dragon Express does
have a seperate section for the health conscious.
If there is a drawback to the menu, its that
the dishes have a high sodium content-be cautious.
All in all, I'd say Dragon Express is a cut
above the usual Chinese fare, though I so do
miss Ho-Ho Kitchen, a family run Chinese
Restaurant located for years on Pico.
