| On a Friday night, I went with an Argentine friend to La Bodeguita de Pico. On Pico, as the name suggests. A new favorite find, not necessarily for the food, but for the wonderful live Cuban music and dance floor! The food is good. But nothing to write home about. El Cochinito down in Silverlake far surpasses. Certainly a place to visit, but more for drinks, desserts, and dancing. Definitely not if you're hungry. The service is terribly slow. Your stomach will eat itself twice over before the food gets to your table (we waited nearly 30-35 minutes), and you really have to concentrate on the music to avoid that feeling. Not a bad thing, but I would have liked to be eating and enjoying the music, rather than using at as a filler for the void that was my stomach. | |

| This place has it all. I have tried many cuban restaurants and they are good. This one is great. They have Authentic Cuban food and music as well. So if after eating you're in the mood for dancing, they have salsa, bachata, and instructors to teach dancing for those who are a bit stiff. LOL. The only drawback is the price. On average the plate for one person is between $15-$20 dollars. But if you're a big spender like me you'll enjoy it. | |
