Review Title: Asia de Cuba , Asia de Cuba is Opulent!

I was treated to this restaurant years ago by my co-workers (Insurance Brokers) from a previous job. With some Insurance Underwriters tagging along, the waiter led us to a lofty, outdoor patio overlooking the whole of West Hollywood. It was clear to me that this airy, magically lit setting served as the star centerpiece for the entire restaurant. I can't remember how many courses there were ( perhaps three or four) but Asia de Cuba delivered the goods in terms of exotic California /Cuban Cuisine. Plates piled high with all sorts of seafood and seasoned steaks were just a small portion of the evening meal, a meal I knew would not come cheap (luckily the Insurance Brokerage I was working for picked up the tab...whew!) All in all, though I cannot recall exactly what I was served or recreate through words the ambiance of the setting, I will recommend Asia de Cuba for couples or large groups looking to chat the night away in a nice, quiet dinner setting (but please don't turn pale when you see that bill--Asia de Cuba is not for the frugal spender).

Review Title: Asia de Cuba , WOWWW

So you enter the hotel lobby, you are instantly in awe. Asia de Cuba and the Sky Bar next door has one of the best views in the city. And the atmosphere is simply glamourous and special. The food is above average and the service is top notch. The Calamari Salad was huge, asian spiced pork spare ribs fell off the bone with sticky tasty BBQ sauce, and the main courses such as marinated lamb, chilean seabass and pan seared ahi tuna were all wonderful as well. And another standout dish were the side of lobster mashed potatoes. And it might seem "too trendy, too Hollywood, too Entourage-ish". But I was pleasantly surprised. The decor, the view and the waitstaff. Just come prepared with serious cash..
